Those familiar with the Hollywood moviemaking process likely know that what is first scripted on the page, and then performed by the actors, and then released unto the masses doesn’t always turn out to be an accurate representation of what was initially written. Scripts change, performances alter. In short, after an actor wraps their work on any particular production, they can’t be totally sure about what will end up on screen until they see a finished cut of the film.

That does not seem to be the case with the highly anticipated “Snow White and the Huntsman”, in that star Kristen Stewart recently revealed that director Rupert Sanders’ brilliant plans became a brilliant film.

“I was so excited,” Stewart said of her reaction upon seeing the finished product. What’s unique, she said, is that the movie is just as “cool” as its concept art — the sketches, storyboards or short videos that directors and producers often assemble in order to sell studios and actors on the concept behind a movie.

“That’s the way Rupert Sanders got the job as director of this movie, by putting together a five-minute version of the movie and presenting the darkness and lightness of the world. I thought that it was insane because it felt like two different people did it, it was so, so beautiful when it was light and so exuberantly happy, and then when it was dark it was wretched and disgusting. I think when I first saw the movie I saw that. It was like, ‘Wow.’ Everything I wanted it to feel like, everything I wanted to say, it’s there.”

R&B superstar serenades a lively crowd with tracks from his upcoming album Looking 4 Myself.

Fans filled midtown Manhattan's Rockefeller Plaza to watch the ATL singer serenade them with singles off of his upcoming album <i>Looking 4 Myself.</i></P><P>Even though Usher performed bright and early, there was no shortage of energy as the singer rocked the crowd with his new hits "OMG," "Without U" and new hits "Climax" and "Scream." The audience stayed on their feet as Usher soulfully connected to fans (especially when he removed his jacket).</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Usher Gets The Party Moving On 'Today' With 'Without U'" id="vid:770400" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>On Wednesday's <link type="content" id="1685266">"MTV First: Usher," the R&B superstar debuted his new track "Twisted" featuring Pharrell and opened up to host Sway Calloway about how <i>Looking 4 Myself</i> is "all about evolution." "All of my career is kind of an unveiling, an unfolding story, and it ain't done. There's so much more that I'm going to do, so much that I've now just been interested in and been introduced to," he said. "I just want that experience of having this very monogamous relationship with entertainment and acting in a way where I can really, really focus and become better."</P><P>Other acts that will follow Usher on the "Today" summer concert series include Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, Pitbull, Chris Brown and the soon-to-be-picked <link type="content" id="1486475">"American Idol"</link> winner and runner-up.</P><P>The concerts will occur every Friday morning for the remainder of the summer. But before Marlo rocked this look, Monica rocked an all white pantsuit (different designer) to her Grey Goose event she hosted at the W Hotel in Buckhead last week.   She rocked a shell blouse and a gunmetal clutch.  All paired with the perfect spring shoe–nude platform pumps.  And a pop of color with a bright pink lip.

While Marlo accessorized with Chanel & Hermes bracelets and a Versace gold clutch, Monica kept her look more sophisticated with several strands of pearls…and just her wedding ring.

‘I always think about that song that will be able to let you out of that slump,’ Looking 4 Myself singer says on ‘MTV First.’

<P>It's not often that fans get to hit the club to party <i>with</i> the artist behind the latest dance hit, but that's exactly what happened for the audience at the interactive <a href="/news/articles/1685172/usher-fuerza-bruta-rehearsal.jhtml">off-Broadway show "Fuerza Bruta"</a> when <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a> arrived for a unique first-listen experience for his new album, <i>Looking 4 Myself</i>.</P><P>As the R&B megastar's latest hit, the beat-driven Max Martin-produced <a href="/news/articles/1684071/usher-next-single-scream.jhtml">"Scream,"</a> pounded through the theater, Usher flew into the audience for a rave-like dance party that had everyone in the place moving.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Usher Previews A Clip Of His 'Scream' Performance Video" id="vid:767987.id:1685137" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>He's used to that sort of reaction by now, having released some of the biggest club hits of the past 15 years, including "OMG," "Yeah," "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love" and "My Way." Usher consistently makes dance records that define a night, and it's important to the singer that his upbeat songs reach people on as deep a level as his more personal ballads.</P><P>"If I'm gonna move you, I want to move you. Islamic hard-liners worry that sexy clothes and dancing will corrupt youth.

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a> lives to provoke and push the envelope. But not everyone is up for her antics. The "Americano" singer has been forced to cancel her sold-out June 3 "Born This Way Ball" show at the 52,000-seat Gelora Bung Karno stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia after Islamic hard-liners and conservative lawmakers said her sexy costumes, suggestive dance moves and "vulgar" style could corrupt the nation's youth.</P><P>According to the <a href="http://news.yahoo.com/lady-gaga-cancel-indonesia-concert-093021436.html" target="_blank"><I>Associated Press</I></a>, a spokesperson for the national police said on Tuesday (May 15) that the permit for the show has been denied after religious conservatives worried that the concert could undermine the nation's moral fiber. Some of the critics actually threatened to use physical force to prevent Gaga from getting off her plane. Though Indonesia is a secular state, it has the world's largest population of Muslims and a small extremist fringe of religious leaders has been more vocal in recent years.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Lady Gaga Will Bring a 'Personal' Touch To 'Born This Way' Tour" id="vid:717952" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"She's a vulgar singer who wears only panties and a bra when she sings and she stated she is the envoy of the devil's child and that she will spread satanic teaching," said Salim Alatas, the Jakarta head of hardline Islamic Defender Front (FPI), according to <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/05/15/entertainment-us-indonesia-gaga-idUSBRE84E0HQ20120515" target="_blank"><I>Reuters</I></a>. "This is dangerous."</P><P>Local police worried that they might not be able to guarantee security at the show and suggested to national police that the permit for what was to be Gaga's biggest gig on her current Asian tour be pulled. Every seat at the Karno stadium had been sold, with half of them going in the first two hours.</P><P>The <I>AP</I> reported that permits for shows are typically issued three weeks before concerts in Jakarta, so it is not uncommon for tickets to be sold well ahead of receiving a final permit. Gaga's Asian tour started last month and the Indonesian flap is not the first bump she's faced along the road. Gigs in <a href="/news/articles/1684062/lady-gaga-born-this-way-ball-seoul.jhtml">South Korea</a>&#8232; were 18-and-over because conservatives in that country also raised objections over the concert's content.</P><P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/photos/?fid=1617615"><img src="http://www.mtv.com/news/photos/s/spotted/banner/spotted.jpg"></a></p>

With book-to-film adaptations being all the rage these days, people just can’t seem to stop talking about the latest hot-button page-turner and best-seller “Fifty Shades of Grey.” And with the big-screen version of the saucy, S&M-heavy tale on the way, we’re doing our best here at MTV News to keep abreast of the latest developments in casting, along with attempts to round up a list of celebrity fans.

When we caught up with in-the-know reality TV superstars Kim and Khloe Kardashian recently, ahead of the premiere of the new season of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” we asked the sisters for their thoughts on the book and its rise to popularity within the pop-culture zeitgeist. Both ladies apparently have a lot of reading to do.

“[I haven't read it] but everyone talks about it,” Khloe said. “My grandmother MJ read the first one and said she couldn’t put it down. Now she’s on the second one. My grandmother!” Khloe added. “Sexy!” Kim also has yet to read the entire story, but admitted to letting her curiosity get the best of her during a recent plane ride that involved reading over a stranger’s shoulder.

“There was someone reading it on their Kindle on the plane [in the seat] in front of me and they were a little older so the font was huge,” Kim recalled. “I was bored so I was like leaning forward and reading a full chapter.”

“I heard it’s a great book,” Khloe chimed in.

“It’s racy,” Kim said.

“Grandmothers gotta live too,” Khloe said with a smile.

Rapper tells MTV News about being at Mayweather’s match against Miguel Cotto with the Biebs and Lil Wayne.

<P>Everyone loves a champion, and currently there is no bigger boxing champ than Floyd "Money" Mayweather. Not only did the outspoken pugilist attract a record number of pay-per-view fans for his May 5 <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/05/06/floyd-mayweather-defeats-miguel-cotto-lil-wayne-and-50-cent-meet-justin-bieber-watches/">match against Miguel Cotto</a>, he also brought music's brightest stars to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on fight night. Of course <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/50_cent/artist.jhtml">50 Cent</a> was on hand to cheer on his buddy Floyd, and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lil_wayne/artist.jhtml">Lil Wayne</a> made their way to the ring as well.</P><P>Many fight fans were surprised to see that the Biebs had been in Mayweather's dressing room for the fight preparations; after that, JB walked with the undefeated Floyd to the ring, helping to hold the champ's belts.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Boxing Brought Together 50 Cent, Justin Bieber And Lil Wayne" id="vid:769373" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"Justin is also a Floyd fan. They love the sport. A lot of people like it and haven't actually made contact or received anything to make them feel like it was cool or comfortable enough for them to come," 50 said about JB's much-discussed ring walk. "When it actually happens and it goes down like that, it feels good. When they get a chance to see different genres, different people, everybody's excited."</P><P>One of the more excited fans was Floyd's daughter Iyanna, who, according to 50, was fixated on the teenage idol. "Floyd's daughter, Yaya, she saw half the fight, the other half she was looking at Bieber," the rapper joked. "He just got that thing for the younger generation, too &#8212; he's it."</P><P>Some were also surprised to see Lil Wayne in the ring. In the past, he and 50 haven't been the best of friends, so many assumed that Floyd would inherit <a href="/news/articles/1582130/lil-wayne-50-cent-deny-beef-mixtape-monday.jhtml">Fif's perceived rap beefs</a>, but that isn't the case. In fact, Mayweather is a Weezy fan; he listens to his music constantly while training.</P><P>"Floyd has a huge passion for music that people don't know about," 50 explained. "It's a big part of what makes him comfortable and takes his mind off of how hard he has to work to stay being the #1 fighter in the world. With Wayne's music momentum, he's a part of that; he's been a part of the playlist, so it's cool."</P><P>After Floyd dusted off Cotto in a unanimous decision, he, Bieber, Weezy and 50 all celebrated in the ring and even posed for a few pictures. Though Fif sported his patented menacing scowl, he insists that there was no problem whatsoever. "The pictures, when I'm not paying attention, they take some really weird facial expressions of me," he said. "I'm like, 'What the f— was I thinking at that point?' ‘Boyfriend’ remixers have nothing but praise for teen crooner and comparisons to their ‘Wait (The Whisper Song).’

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a>'s <a href="/news/articles/1684836/justin-bieber-boyfriend-remix-ying-yang-twins.jhtml">"Boyfriend"</a> got the remix treatment from rap duo the <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/ying_yang_twins/artist.jhtml">Ying Yang Twins</a> this week. The twosome dropped their take on the singer's single late Wednesday, amping up the song's sexiness with their signature sense of innuendo.</P><P>Playing on the song's title, the Twins (D-Roc and Kaine) note on their verses that while Bieber is offering up his services as your boyfriend, they're a little older and a little wiser and want to be your older sister's man. When MTV News spoke to D-Roc on Thursday (May 10), he talked a little bit about wanting to have fun with the Mike Posner/ Mason Levy-produced track.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Ying Yang Twins 'Complimented' Bieber Back With 'Boyfriend' Remix" id="vid:767914" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"He want to be your boyfriend, but I want to be your <i>man.</i> I'm grown. I'm good and grown," he said. "I've been through that boyfriend/girlfriend stage, but you know, he's going through that, so that's what complemented the track too. It's like, 'OK, I want to be your man. I don't want to be your boyfriend. I'm bigger than the boyfriend.' But that's Justin Bieber, so if you got a little sister, Justin Bieber want to be her boyfriend."</P><P>D-Roc was also inspired to remix the track after many music fans had noted comparisons between Bieber's song and the Twins' 2005 hit "Wait (The Whisper Song)." "Before Justin Bieber actually had dropped the song, the hype around it, everybody was calling me saying, 'Hey, man, did y'all hear the Justin Bieber song?' I was so amped up to hear the song too. When I actually did, I listened to it and I was like, it sounded like us. He complimented us," he said. "So I wanted to compliment him by getting on it.</P><P>"It was there," he added of the comparisons. "But the thing about it is, for him to step out for the first time rapping and we was the first compliment that he gave, I felt like that young man is on job. And he did it well. It made a statement to me like, 'OK, he just trying to grow up,' and with him growing up, like, he want y'all to take him as he's grown. 'I'm 18. I'm grown now. I can do my own thing.' And what better lane, and he picked us, and I feel like that was a compliment and to compliment him back, I wanted to do the remix."</P><P>While D-Roc has yet to meet the singer, he has high praise for him. "He's a very talented young man," he said. "Like, to have as many talents as he knows how to do, you know, it's like he's a threat. He's gonna come in, and they better watch out for the young man, 'cause the young man got something to bring to the table."</P><P>Bieber will drop his highly anticipated album, <a href="/news/articles/1684079/justin-bieber-believe-album-cover.jhtml"><i>Believe,</i></a> on June 19.
